The Department of Biology, Faculty of Education and Teacher Training, University of Riau, held Biological Week in January 2018. This event was attended by junior and senior high school students from Pekanbaru and surrounding areas.
In this occasion, Junior and Senior High School of Darma Yudha participated in such prestigious event. The participants from the school were trained and mentored by Miss Christina, Mr Mikaron and Mr Indra (Junior High School teachers), while Miss Eva, Mr Surya and Miss Sofia were in charge to guide the students from senior high school.
After several days of participating in Biology Fair 2018, Darma Yudha senior high school students, Gabriel Tandexci won the gold medal in written test, and Yonchen Harianto was ranked in the 8th position within written test.
On the other hand, Darma Yudha junior high school students got the overall champion. Narita Chrysant won the gold medal, 1st winner, best experiment category. Caka Bagas Khairi won the silver medal and the 2nd winner position in laboratory competency test.
John Howard Wijaya, best 8 in a written competency test, Shannon Elizabeth, 3rd winner in painting contest and Leequeenza, the 3rd runner winner in painting contest. This result is well achieved from the hard work of students and people surrounding. Congratulations students! (APW)
