Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) the University of Riau (UNRI) held MIPA EXPO. Many students from Pekanbaru and other regions in Riau Province came and participated in this event. For sure, Darma Yudha Senior High School students also participated in this expo.
The elimination round was done on 4th February 2018, while the semifinal and final rounds were from 19th to 24th February 2018. In regards with mathematics olympiad, the school won the overall champion; the gold medal was won by Angel Clarita Juspi, Yanssen Ramaputra won the silver medal, Bronze medal won by Fernaldi Fauzie. All the students were guided by Mr Frengky, Mr Evan, Mr Ronal, and Mr Doni.
On the other hand, to the category of Physics Olympiad (mechanics, electricity, and thermodynamics). Bronze medal was won by Enrique Juspi with the guidance from Mr Adi Kosmer. Whilst, Chemical Olympiad, Darma Yudha Senior High School won the overall champion; Angelica Wilona achieved gold medal, Derrick Anthony won silver medal and Jacinda Phowena was for a bronze medal winning. All the students were guided by Mr Heru.
In the Olympiad of Geosciences (earth and space), the school also won the overall champion; Ayodhya Karaniya Sikoko and Lionie Annabella Wijaya won the silver medal while Ferdian Jordy won a bronze medal. They were all guided by Mr Djoko. Hopefully this glorious achievement can continue to be an encouragement for others to compete in any other competitions.
