Medan State University (UNIMED) held the National UNIMED Science and English Olympiad 2018 starting from 3rd until 4th February 2018, in Medan, the capital city of North Sumatra Province. This event was attended by elementary, junior, and senior high school students in many different regions in Sumatra.
During these 2 days, Darma Yudha school was successfully obtained a lot of achievements. From the elementary level, Harlbert Mayer Hsia and Fransen won gold medal in science subject whilst, Jack Howard and Matheas won the silver medal in the respective subject.
From junior high school level, gold medal in science was obtained by M. Fairuz Azfa and John Howard while silver medal in the same subject was achieved by Delvin Wijaya and bronze medal was well achieved by Caka Bagas Khairi. On the other hand, in English subject category, gold medal was obtained by Peter Johan and Albert Alvaro whilst, silver medal was obtained by Jackie Chan and Bronze medal was achieved by Lionel Owen.
Lastly, in senior high school level, Vishandi Rudi Keneta won a mathematical gold medal and Jenny Sari Winata won an astronomical gold medal. Additionally, in Olympic biology teacher in junior high school category was successfully won by Mr Mikaron who achieved a silver medal. This glorious and exhilarating result is surprisingly achieved by hard work and great effort. Congratulations for Darma Yudha school. (APW)
