RISE FEST 2018 or Riau Smansa English Festival, was held in SMAN 1 (Senior High School 1), Pekanbaru starting from 27 until 28 January 2018. This 2-day competition was attended by senior and junior high school students in Riau Province and surrounding areas.

Darma Yudha School sent students from junior and senior high school level. They were guided and trained by Mr Nunus and Mr Rico as English teachers. For your information, they competed with many other students coming from other schools in Riau province.

After 2 days of competition, Darma Yudha Junior High School achieved the 1^st winner of English speech contest (Jofanny Violin) and the 3^rd winner of English speech contest (Fidelia Cheryl), the 1^st best speaker of English debate competition (Stacia Louis) and the 3^rd best speaker of English debate competition (Kenji Yeo).

At the same time, Darma Yudha Senior High School won the 1^st English speech contest (Maria Sindy), the 2^nd winner of English debate competition (TM Daffa Wahyuda, Shelen Go and Peter Wilianto), the 4^th winner of English debate competition (Steven Hadylaya, Starla N. Murdi and Sherlee), the 5^th best speaker of English debate competition (Cherish Subhakti Suputra), the 7^th best speaker of English debate competition (Shelen Go), and the 9^th best speaker of English debate competition (Peter Wilianto).

This achievement is well achieved in regards with the effort and hard work between the teachers and the students. Congratulations students. (APW)
