This is Sampoerna University English Competition which was held from 27th to 29th April 2018. Darma Yudha Senior High School debate team took part in this prestigious annual championship, what’s more this event is usually participated by various best schools in Indonesia.
In 2018, Darma Yudha sent 3 teams, Shelen Go and Wiselly Wibowo, Cherrie Angel Wijaya and George, and Cherish Subhakti Suputra and Peter Wilianto. The six of them were mentored and trained by Mr Nunus, an English teacher in Darma Yudha Senior High School.
All the three teams were able to escape from the preliminary round. However, there were only 2 debating teams reaching to the quarter-finals and 1 team competing in the final. As the result, Cherish Subhakti Suputra and Peter Wilianto team was awarded as the second winner.
Congratulations for the team, you finally made it and the 2nd champion of Sampoerna English University Competition is in our hand. (APW)
